Jane promised herself that she wouldn't be afraid when asking the Judge for the money he owed her for the dress she had made Johanna. Jane herself was simply terrified about asking him, Johanna had been no big deal for her, as the Judge's ward proved herself to be friendly.
The rumors surrounding the Judge however, made Jane's blood run cold, and so now, standing outside of his study, Jane swallowed loudly, and knocked.

Johanna, who was glad to say that she wasn't his ward anymore , strode down the stairs and found Jane. "Oh," she said. A smile spead cross her lips. "Jane. How can I help you, my dear?"

Jane flinched slightly, and turned around. Scrambling to get her papers, she smiled weakly and began writing. The dress I made you...I need payment. Holding out the paper with a shaking hand for Johanna too read, Jane nodded slightly.

As peter heard the voices in the hall he turned his head to listen and recognized Johannas voice..and someone elses. He couldn't place exactly where he knew it from but he knew it was one he had heard before.
He descended the steps to the main hall where he found Johanna with the owner of the mysterious voice it was the lady who had made Johannas dress, no doubt looking for payment. He approached them and cast a glance at the paper Johanna had in her hands.

// Jane's mute. Lol. Honest mistake, I do it all the time. ^_^ Johanna smiled at his arrival. Her arms glided across his neck as she slipped the paper into his hands. She knew how stingy he was with his money. She needed him calm before he did anything rash. "Darling, this is Jane. She made my new dress." She cast a warm apolagetic look as if to warn her if he was cross with her.

OOC: I regret making the lovely Miss Jane a mute now, but then I wouldn't be rping her well. *Siighhh*
Jane waved shyly, her brown eyes darting from Johanna, and back to the Judge. Smiling weakly, she inclined her head respectfully, arms behind her back.
Darling, she had called him. Jane wondered absently if they were engaged, and that it had yet to be announced. Playing with her sleeves, Jane moved her hands in front of her, waiting.

// It's not that I like it when people are mute, I just like it that Jane has a distinct character trait to tell herself from any other girl.
"How much do you need, Miss. O'Day?" She asked. The Judge had said that she could spend ther money on things she needed.

OOC: Thank you, dearie. It took me two days to think of Miss Jane here.
Seamstresses were not generally paid much, in fact, they were barely paid at all. The true worth of the gown was probably five or seven pounds, but Jane stuck to the general rule. She made rich gowns for low prices like any sane seamstress in London.
Unfolding her paper, she wrote; Only twenty shillings. Even that was asking a lot, but Jane had to eat somehow, and buy materials as well.

// <3 She's an amazing character. Like all of yours, Claire.
Johanna took off her small white handbag and handed her the precise change. "There you are, dear." She smiled.

OOC: D'awh, you don't mean that. xD
Jane nodded, counting the changed over, making sure she had gotten the correct amount. Pursing her lips, she nodded slightly upon noticing that Johanna had indeed handed her the exact amount.
Smiling, Jane pocketed the money, and wrote on her paper again. Thank you, Miss Johanna. I trust I will be seeing you again? As a friend, not a customer.

// All the characters that you RP are amazing. xD
"Of course." She said with a smile. She did want to see Jane again. Now that she was to be her guardian's wife, she had most of her freedom.

Jane nodded in approval, holding her hand out for Johanna to shake.

OOC: ...Also, I want your sig. >_>
Seeming surprised at first, Jane slowly relaxed, and awkwardly hugged Johanna back, before pulling away.

// What do you mean? Should I be scared?
Johanna let go of her slowly. A look of depression was showing in her eyes. She didn't want to marry her fiance, she had no intention of telling him so. She needed him to care for her. And what else was she to do? She believed Anthony to be dead. She looked to her fiance as if asking him to say something about their recent news of thier engagement.
