Peter walked into the room with a glance at the window making a mental note of the dreary rain outside before turning to his desk with a frown and began shifting through the papers there. Fortunatley there was not much to be taken care of today as it seemed everyone had some manner of business to take care of.
After finishing what little document work there was he turned around and narrowed his eyes at the portrait beckoning to him from across the room. He strolled to it and brushed a hand across the picture almost fondly before removing it and leaning forward to peer through the hole.

After sneaking back in her room without being noticed of missing, Johanna was in her bed looking up at the ceiling, sighing. The young teenage girl tried to doze off, but she couldn't sleep. Johanna tossed onto one side, staring blankly at the wall.

He watched her through the wall with his cold and hungry eyes, her youthful face painted with the monotonous emotion of boredom and he wondered just how many emotions had flickered onto that lovely face of hers; Desire? Joy? Exhileration? he could only wonder..

Johanna sighed before sitting up, grabbed the brush that was on her nightstand and began to brush out her hair. Even though it was perfectly fine, she needed something to do.

He watched her as she moved and imagined that she was moving for him putting on a show of her indifferance. Teasing him with her nonchalant behaviour as she moved the brush through her locks of gold.
Peter was no stranger to jealousy and as he watched the object gliding through her hair now he couldn't help but be envious wishing he could replace it with his hands.

The young woman sighed upon glazing her eyes out the window again. It was pouring rain outside. Whenever it poured rain she was depressed. It was like seeing her own tears upon the glass.

He could hear the rain pounding the glass heavier now and licked his lips at the thought of the rain wetting his wards flesh caressing every inch of her, slipping over the curves that were so similar to that of her mothers

Johanna stood up to sit against the window once again. The teenage girl sat down at rested her head against the window, her eyes searching out the window. What she was looking for, she didn't know.

He had given her so much..her simplest wish, within reason of course, was hers to command of him. But she didn't realise. Instead she sat there as his pretty little ward the unknown power over him at her dainty fingertips. If she were to be his wife then she would be as marvellous as he knew she was on the inside, hidden away.
He knew there was cruelty within begging to come out. A harshness that begged for him to be released and he wanted it. Her cold gaze pierced through everything yet avoided him. he wanted it!

Johanna, resting her head against the window then knew what she was looking for. It was the boy she had seen earlier. She finally knew what his name was.
"Anthony." She whispered to herself. The name was so perfect. So warm.

His hands formed into fists as he heard the name that passed through her lips... 'Anthony. Your fate is sealed.' he felt the rage course through his body and he looked away from the peephole and placed the portrait over it again. His gaze was venemous as he strode out of his office and towards Johannas room.
He rapped his knuckles against the wood impatiently.

Johanna, snapping out her romantic day dream, looked up. "Yes? Come in."

He pushed against the door and strode inside making his way towards the window to stand beside Johanna he greeted her with a curt nod and something akin to a smile before looking out of the window.
"It has been brought to my attention that there has been a boy hanging around here recently." His gaze narrowed at the spot Anthony was last seen waiting upon Johanna. "I just thought it right to tell you that he has been found near the docks. Dead." His eyes glinted cold as the rain continued to fall and he spared a glance at the woman beside him. "Rest assured Johanna I will do my very best to find the criminal responsible." he paused before continuing "While you're already in thought perhaps you'd care to rethink my proposal."

Johanna's eyes filled with tears. "Dead?" She shrieked, falling off her chair. She looked up at him. Not Anthony. Why couldn't she have been the one to die? If she could have had anything in the world, it would've been Anthony. But now he was dead. Now what could Johanna have? She wondered how long she would last in the world. She looked up at her guardian, her eyes rounded with innocence. "That musn't be true... Please tell me it's not true. He was fine yesterday..."

He couldn't help but kneel down next to her as she flung herself down. He reached out to her but faltered halfway letting his hand fall onto his knee.
"I'm sorry but it's true. They say he was attacked by a group of darkly coloured men last night. Once they found no money on his person he was swiftly killed. Please do not cry so Johanna." He was sorely tempted to actually send his men after the Anthony boy but instead found he didn't have the desire to do so..which was odd in itself. He supposed it had something to do with how Johannas wide tear filled eyes were gazing at him so desperatly.
He stared down at her with a mix of emotions before speaking "I find it imperitive to remind you that when one one door closes..another one opens. But in this case it has always been there, always open Johanna." He held out a hand to her pitiful figure on the ground "I will not force you." He had learnt that mistake from his father long ago.
