Nellie looked around, sighing. Why was it that London never got anymore pleasant? The heat wasn't particularly bad, but as Nellie insisted on wearing mourning, she was boiling. She finally collapsed onto a bench, fanning herself desperately.

Since her fiance was out of town, she was able to walk around town without consequences. Johanna was alowed to walk around town, of course with maids or the beadle with her. Or alone with Peter, which startled her to even think about being alone with him. The girl strode past the woman on the bench, not really paying attnetion to as where she was going.

Nellie watched Johanna, a vague look of suprise on her face. So Turpin's finally let the girl out of her cage, then? This worried her vaugely, since Johanna knew that her mother was alive... On the other hand, it shouldn't be too hard to keep the father and daughter apart...
